ABOUT THE PASTOR Pastor / Teacher T. J. Brown, Jr. Rev. Dr. Thomas J. Brown, Jr. is a pastor, teacher and evangelist who believe that Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation. He is gifted with an ability to preach and teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in a manner “rightly dividing the word of truth”. He has impacted the lives of many people and won many souls to Christ. Pastor Brown was inaugurated as the sixth President/Moderator of the Westside Missionary Baptist Association on July 1, 2001. He serves as a member of the Board of Trustees, and professor of appointment at Union Baptist College and Theological Seminary. Pastor Brown is the official Organist for the Louisiana Baptist State Convention and the Chairman of its Scholarship Committee. He accepted the call to preach and teach the gospel in November 1987 and has served the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church as Pastor since 1995. Pastor Brown is the father of Tika Brown Williams and Chara Genea Brown.
